The Goal

The Bidsquare is an online auction brand for real-time bidding on the world’s best works of art, antiques, and collectibles. In partnership with premier auction houses and dealers, Bidsquare has been able to set itself apart as the most dynamic auction house with over $1 Billion worth of bids already placed through the platform.

It all began with Bidsquare partnering with Grove86 to harness the power of the web towards reaching success in the online auction market. The aim was to rejig its previous website by leveraging Grove86’s extensive experience in web design and development and harnessing the expertise of its professional digital marketing team to improve the functionality of its website, and making use of SEO best practices on the site for increased visibility and brand awareness.

Highlights

Once we identified the challenges, we set upon from scratch to build custom software for bidding and auction. Our team of professional web designers and developers incorporated all the latest user experience & interface (UX/UI) technologies to deliver an aesthetically-pleasing website with added functionality for attracting and engaging interested collectors and bidders.

This was followed by implementing SEO best practices across the website to improve visibility and boost brand awareness to generate more traffic. As part of SEO, the content team published press releases on different media for increased user engagement. The marketing team used, among others, PPC management to complement its drive to generate leads from potential users searching the web.

Challenges

The company operates as an online platform for live and timed online bidding, which posed a challenge to incorporate live in person bidding with online. Besides, the company wanted to incorporate real time audio and video streaming during live auctions for better user experience.

We started with the UI/UX phase by developing a blueprint structure to make the site as interactive as possible with its audio and video sections while maintaining uniformity and speed of the site.

Audience research allowed our digital marketing team to develop effective campaigns using all the different digital marketing tools for increased site traffic and boosting sales. We adopted a full-funnel approach to digital marketing including SEO and PPC management that helped in galvanizing collectors and bidders’ interests on the Bidsquare auction platform. As part of SEO and to build a loyal following, we optimized social media content pieces for improving visibility and visitor engagement.

The success of our PPC management was reflected in the steady increase in the company’s Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) since we started the marketing campaign. This was achieved by setting up optimized PPC landing pages using the right keywords and launching well-organized campaigns and ad groups for increased visitors.
