Showrooms 2220 brings a new concept in the world of selling and buying Antiques and Design. We will offer critical mass of antiques and design under the same roof as well a strong online presence to maximize dealers’ exposure.

The Goal

Showroom2220 is a curated online marketplace of antiques and modern designs for collectors and connoisseurs. In addition, the company has a physical presence with over 100,000 square feet of state-of-the-art showroom in the emerging Philadelphia, PA area where buyers can browse in-person through an eclectic selection of furniture and decorative arts spanning from the early 18th century to the present.

Grove86 had been working with Showroom2220 for quite some time when we were approached to establish and manage their online presence. As well as creating a new website for their business, Showroom2220 wanted to boost volume and efficiency in a highly competitive auction market.

Challenges

While working together with the client, it soon became apparent that the company needs a website to effectively manage its online strategy and increase sales. During our conversations, we identified the following objectives:

The Results

Our web development team carried out a design and research meeting with the client to find out what it liked about competitors' websites and what functionalities would help streamline the business.

Starting with the homepage, our marketing strategist, Business Analyst and UX/UI Designers worked together on building the site that allows for easy navigation of the different departments of the website such as Furniture, Art, Architectural & Garden, etc. We added different sections to the website such as Trending Products, Shop by Category, Featured Gallery, and Blog to engage visitors with easy navigation. These provided a clear structure to the site, and the added functionalities ensured that every user action delivers a brilliant experience. The navigation system allows customers with a clear customer journey to the item-specific pages.

We also added content sections to the website as well as product information and a separate section for blogs. The inclusion of optimized content was in line with the latest SEO techniques and also to improve the conversion rate. In addition, we optimized all the pages, including page titles and meta descriptions with relevant keywords to harness the benefits of SEO and increase user experience.

Since its launch, the website had a representative position in the e-commerce market as a trusted online antique and design store. Our tech and support team keep assisting in any modifications or regular maintenance needed to keep the site updated as per evolving market needs.
